
Hiring New Staff
Below are the listed steps for hiring new staff for your department. Please contact a Talent Acquisition representative with any questions.
1. Start with your HR Partner
Speak with your department’s HR Partner to discuss the need for the position, the appropriate classification, and budget.
2. Complete paperwork
Complete the Open Requisition, Job Code Description, and Job Information Questionnaire. This set of paperwork is due to your HR Partner by 5pm on Wednesdays. It will then be reviewed by Friday morning. Once approved, it will be inputted into Workday within 48 business hours for final approval and posting.
3. Schedule meeting with your recruiter
Your departmental recruiter will work with you during an initial recruitment strategy meeting to gather details about your job posting. They will then work with you through the process of posting the position, conducting interviews, and the post-interview stage.
4. Check the Onboarding Schedule
Follow the Onboarding Schedule to hire a new non-exempt employee. To hire a new employee out of the pay cycle, review the information here.
