Our staff onboarding team is committed to making every new employee feel welcome from day one. The goal is to ensure that the new hire is productive as possible the first day they begin working.

Tips for new hire employees and managers:

  • Allow two hours for on-boarding appointment
  • Bring acceptable IDs to on-boarding meeting. Refer to the list of accepted documents for details.
  • Wear comfortable shoes for campus tour

 Tasks for new hire employee to complete in onboarding meeting:

  •  I-9
  • At-will employment agreement
  • Arbitration agreement
  • Meal period acknowledgment form (non-exempt only)
  • Voluntary information forms
  • Campus Tour (Ronald Tutor Center, Pharmacy, USCard Office, Transportation, Ticket Office, bookstore, etc)

The Onboarding Ambassador will review the following topics with your employee:

  • HR Service Center (first stop for all employee-related questions)
  • Employee Gateway (employee resources)
  • Benefits
  • USC Holidays
  • Transportation Office (parking options)
  • USC Card office
  • Workday (timekeeping, direct deposit, enrolling in benefits, time off, verify personal information)
