Employee Relations
Progressive Discipline
Provost HR uses a progressive discipline model to address lack of performance and unprofessional behavior. We use this model to coach employees towards the overall effectiveness of their performance. Corrective actions are recommended baed on the level of underperforming standards or unprofessional behavior.
The levels of corrective actions are:
- Verbal Warning
- Written Warning
- Last and Final
- Involuntary Termination
The intent of this process is to assist and encourage employees to correct their conduct, while contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Office of the Provost departments and the mission of the university.
Managers should contact Employee Relations PRIOR to initiating any corrective action. You may also notify Provost HR by initiating a case in i-Sight.
